It’s obvious that everyone need to use the correct equipment, cooperate and plan for an evacuation. Our fall protection course prepares you for the work.
All co-workers need training in fall protection and rescue/evacuation. All companies must also have documentation showing competence, action plans and protocol for inspected fall protection gear.
By all work above two meters, where fixed fall protection is missing or other specific fall risk occur, personal fall protection equipment must be used. Empoyees must be trained in fall protection and be aware of the risks involved.
There are several provision to dictate the terms for work with fall risks:

Participants will have a thorough theoretical overview regarding risks, safety and law concerning fall protection. We follow up with practical moments and a test.
The basic course requires a half-day. If you also want to do the rescue/evacuation, a full day is required.*
*In the rescue/evacuation course, the customer provides required equipment for the training specified by Byggsäkerhet.
Construction work, industry, theater, police, military, offshore, infrastructure, scaffolding and work from boom or scissorlift/EWP. Basically anyone who works at heights. You don’t need any previous knowledge.
You require knowledge about equipment, risk assessment and evacuation/rescue – risk of injuries. You also acquire capability to prevent fall risks, manage appearing fall risks and planning for a rescue action.
1.700 SEK/person, half day.
2.900 SEK/person, full day.

Is there a requirement by law to have a certificate of fall protection training?
No, there’s not an expressly written such requirement for fall protection, but there’s clear demands (Work Environment Act and in the provisions about Systematic Enviroment Work) that the employer must ensure that the employee have appropriate training – fall risks are that serious you cannot have fall risks without written plans and precautions. The management of severe risks must be in written form.
Hot Works – (Heta Arbeten®) and MEWP-training is valid for five years. For how long is a fall protection training valid?
Your employer and work manage decides. If something happens, they can be kept accountable if you don’t have the right training and equipment.
Regarding MEWP’s, it’s the certified training thru the Swedish Rental Association that last five years. The concept of Heta Arbeten® do follow the insurance terms, saying that the training cannot be older than five years.
What kind of rescue resources and training do we need at our workplace?
Your employer and management have the responsibility to adapt the rescue resources: equipment, readiness, organization and practice.. Byggsäkerhet can offer a general rescue training, but the employer must exceed with specific equipment and training for your working conditions.
