The training in asbestos gives you the basic knowledge and skills required to work in environments where asbestos may be present. The training is offered in both Swedish and English, as well as remotely or in a classroom.
Asbestos: What skills do we need?
All companies with employees who may come into contact with asbestos, for example during renovation or installations in older properties, must have a general authorization. We help you with it.
We’ll give you the basics, and then you can move forward on your own. We give the course both remotely (online) and in a classroom, and also train in both Swedish and English.
New regulations that come into force in 2025 and 2026 require quality assurance of competence. We recommend a half-day training as a minimum, but we expand the competence to be able to do simpler sampling and that we expand with knowledge of what asbestos means from a business perspective. We then add the aspects that are necessary for procurement and ÄTA management.

Asbestos General Training – Work Management (half day).
A supplementary training for work management (project managers, supervisors, managers, etc.), construction law, procurement and sampling. This half-day can be adapted to your needs.

The training is aimed at those who may in some way come into contact with asbestos. Consider that asbestos has been used in almost everything in construction as recently as 1981. It is found in everything from paint, window putty, concrete, and flower boxes to roof tiles, pipe insulation, tiles, and grout.
If you work in the construction industry, you can avoid it if you know, for example, that you should only work with new buildings, with scaffolding outdoors or have service and maintenance on a newer property stock. But how many people know that this is where you will work for the rest of your life?
The course gives you basic knowledge about asbestos and how suspected asbestos should be handled on site. Note that the course is not for processing, but sampling is not considered processing. Nevertheless, a sampling must be carried out with appropriate safety measures.We have consistently high ratings and recommendations. What is asbestos?
– Asbestos is a pure mineral that occurs in many older building materials.
Is asbestos dangerous?
– In free form – for example as dust in the air, it is very dangerous. If it is encapsulated, for example in concrete roof tiles, then it is harmless.
Do I need to renew my asbestos training?
– You probably need it. New regulations set new requirements, and these came into force in December 2025.
Do the requirements for knowledge also apply to foreign companies in Sweden?
– Of course. The legislation applies to everyone. We offer the training in English, and provide all relevant regulations in English in pdf format.
Is your training approved by the Swedish Work Environment Authority?
– The authority exercises no such supervision and no actor in Sweden is accredited to formally certify asbestos training. It is the respective employer who must check that the trainer has sufficient competence in the field.
Do we need to know anything about construction law and asbestos?
– Yes, we strongly recommend that you delve into the regulations in cases where you risk encountering asbestos. It is important both during procurement and during any ÄTA work. Construction safety integrates these questions in essential parts in the training for BAS PU during the full-day training.
